Design School Project
A portion of my undergraduate design "thesis," which was an exploration into narrative forms in traditional textile patterns. The final product was a series of portraits in theme of the hands' work. This portrait of my grandmother illustrates my memories of her in the garden. Specific patterns and ornaments provide the framework for the illustrative elements.
I'm a designer in Austin, TX. My interests include: narrative information design, picture books, and designing meaningful learning experiences through technology and digital media. I have a BA/BFA in Design from the University of Texas at Austin and a MA in Education from Stanford University through the Learning, Design & Technology program. My favorite book of all time is the Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith.
